Park Lane
The Top Bed in Park Lane is a fine grained Bath stone that has a uniform cream appearance. Due to the Top Bed having a small presence of shell within, it is a great material to use for carving work, cladding and ashlars. Although it may not be ideal when requiring a more resistant material to weathering and abrasion.
At Ranco we mainly work with park lane top bed as it is more sought after than the base bed. If you were hoping to use the base bed for your project then feel free to contact us about it.
Variety
Please note due to stone being a natural material it is prone to having a variety of appearances based on its colour and texture. If you have received any samples from us we recommend that they remain an accurate representation of what is currently being quarried for two months. If your samples are older than two months then they may not accurately represent what is being produced at this point in time and we recommend that you contact us to arrange for a new sample.
