Strine Hollington Stone

Strine is similar to mottled however it is  sourced from our Tearne quarry in Hollington. It is a predominantly white sandstone with streaks of red. It has a fine to medium grain size and similarly to other Hollington sandstones it is typically used for restoration projects but can be used to produce ashlars, jambs, headers, sills and quoins.

Variety

Please note due to stone being a natural material it is prone to having a variety of appearances based on its colour and texture. If you have received any samples from us we recommend that they remain an accurate representation of what is currently being quarried for  two months. If your samples are older than two months then they may not accurately represent what is being produced at this point in time and we recommend that you contact us to arrange for a new sample.
