Coombfield

Coombfield is classed as a Whitbed, meaning that ranges from having a compact grain structure with an intermediate presence of shell within it, to a shelly stone with a more open grain structure.

It is capable of being used for most general applications but as the shell content increase the stone will become harder to use for carving work.

Variety

Please note due to stone being a natural material it is prone to having a variety of appearances based on its colour and texture. If you have received any samples from us we recommend that they remain an accurate representation of what is currently being quarried for  two months. If your samples are older than two months then they may not accurately represent what is being produced at this point in time and we recommend that you contact us to arrange for a new sample.
